Just Us Books Sponsors “My Most Memorable Moment with my Father”

In conjunction with the release of One Million Men and Me, (written by Kelly Starling Lyons, illustrated by Peter Ambush), independent and Black-owned publisher Just Us Books is sponsoring ” nationwide writing contest called “My Most Memorable Moment with My Father.” Students in first through fifth grades are invited to share the most special moment they’ve shared with their father or father figure. Entries can be prose or poetry; must be 100-300 words for first through third grade entrants, 250-500 words for fourth and fifth grade entrants and must be typed. Entry deadline is January 31, 2008. young people.
