African-American ‘Read-In’ set for Feb. 15 in Alachua

A celebration of African American Children’s Literature Read-In will be held at the Alachua Branch Library at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15.

The goal of the Read-In is to make the celebration of African American literacy a traditional part of February’s Black History Month activities.

Featured readers will be local community leaders from the fields of religion, government, education, journalism and the arts.

The Read-In is the kick-off event for activities occurring during African American History Month at the Alachua County Library District.
