Santa Ana Black Historical Society

The Santa Ana Black Historical Society is presenting the exhibit through the end of the month as part of Black History Month. The society will host a gala reception from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, as well as a historical presentation on “Great Kings and Queens of Ancient Africa.”

In words and portraits, the exhibit pays tribute to the first black woman to own a business here, or to practice law, or to teach. It traces more than a century of Orange County history through the individual successes of black women.

  1. Dear Family, Its so nice to know that I have family on the other coast who knows who they are and keep that memory of how, when and where we people of color came to this land, survived that arrival and flourished. Thanks!
