NFL Star Pledges $1Million in Academic Scholarships

Cleveland Browns widereceiver Braylon Edwards is just one of the many good guys in professional sports.

Through his ADVANCE 100 Program, an education initiative of the Braylon Edwards Foundation (BEF), Edwards has pledged $1 million in academic scholarships to the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD).  One hundred eighth grade students from CMSD will be offered scholarships toward college tuition upon their graduation from high school.

In 2006, he announced a $500,000 scholarship endowment fund for college players who wear the University of Michigan’s No.1 football jersey.
